The exhibit opens on Friday, February 10th with an event that also celebrates WORK_SPACE’s 5th Birthday!!!!
Art will be available to view and purchase, live music will be played, and light refreshments will be served.
This year the canvases are round, and the theme is Sunrise Sunset. Artists are invited to pick up a canvas (leaving a
$10 cash deposit) while supplies last and return it as a piece of art by 4pm on Jan. 31st (picking up the $10 deposit).
Artist who chose to work in other mediums such as wood, metal, fiber, etc., can their own round canvas between 8-16 inches in diameter. Manchester art teachers Joel Corriveau of Verplank Elementary School and Jennifer Lazaroff of Great Path Academy have integrated the Blank Canvas challenge into their curriculums. We anticipate having more than 100 community members participate.
Artist, art teacher and author, Dorothy L. Hall, shares stories and examples of how to light your creative spark and overcome moments of indecision and overwhelm. Join us to learn strategies to bring excitement and passion to your work and life.

From Thursday, Nov. 10, 2022 – Friday, Jan. 31st, 2023 we are thrilled to showcase the work of 36 local artists who have created diverse and dynamic work that celebrates their heritage and explores how their culture shapes their identity and relationship with the world.

In addition to the weekday hours (M-F, 10a-4p) the PERSPECTIVES OF OUR WORLD exhibit, can be viewed on the 2nd Saturday from 10a-2p) which also include special programming.
The exhibition has been extended to January 31st!

In this series of two classes, photographer Peter Glass teaches how to produce high-quality shots – moving away from Auto Mode to manually take control of camera settings, lighting, positioning, accessories and editing techniques using the apps that come with your phone as well as others you can download.
Peter Glass is a professional photographer in the Hartford area who has been shooting commercial and editorial assignments for over 25 years. In addition, he is a nonstop creator of stock photography images (www.stockpeterglass.com). His photos appear regularly in magazines, advertising brochures, websites, and on book covers. Currently, Peter enjoys spending most of his time designing and teaching photography classes and working as a photography consultant.
