Ribbon Cuttting: Celebrating the Galleries & Digital Story Studio

The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring a ribbon cutting to help WORK_SPACE celebrate the expansion of their Galleries (The Main Street Gallery, The Loop Gallery, The Creative Commons & The Gallery Shop) as well as the launch of their Digital Story Studio. Treats will be offered from the Manchester Cheesecake Company.
JUNETEENTH: The Art of Independence

In recognition of Juneteenth, the Galleries at WORK_SPACE will present, Juneteenth: The Art of Independence, June 7 – July 30, 2021.
Juneteenth has long been observed in the African American community, however the story of our nation’s second Independence Day has been marginalized, with many still unaware of its historic significance. The Galleries @ WORK_SPACE has collaborated with artists, poets, advocates and educators from CT and throughout New England to produce an art show and companion programs to bring people together to celebrate, commemorate, learn about and appreciate the meaning and significance of Juneteenth.

The Galleries @ WORK_SPACE are now open every 2nd Saturday, often with live art demonstrations and craft projects for aspiring artists of all ages. And, while you are Downtown, we encourage you to visit the many other creative businesses on and near Main Street including the Firestone Art Studio and Café who host dozens of vendors for their Small Business and Craft Market. More vendors, musicians and a farmers’ market can be found in and near the Forest Street parking lot. Join us in making Downtown a 2nd Saturday Destination. (And don’t forget to grab breakfast, lunch or a beverage at one of the dozens of restaurants, coffee shops or breweries nearby.)
